Navigating the community college system and transfer process can be overwhelming—but I’m here to make it clear and manageable so you can pursue you goals. That is why I created Community College Consulting.  I specialize in helping students navigate the community college path and transfer successfully to a four-year university.

 

Whatever guidance you need, whatever questions you may have, I’m here to help with the following and more....

  • Helping students identify the best community college based on transfer rates, program offerings, etc.

  • Assist with enrollment and course registration.

 

2. Creating a Transfer Plan from Day One

  • Explain transfer pathways to colleges and universities.

  • Identify courses that fulfill GE and major prerequisites.

  • Provide academic planning to stay on track for transferring.​

  • Offer advice on housing, campus resources, and academic expectations at four-year schools.

  • Provide strategies for adjusting to larger class sizes and independent learning.​

3. Completing IGETC Requirements (California)

  • Guide students through the IGETC curriculum to ensure all requirements are met.

  • Advise on courses that double count as major & general education requirements.

 

4. Ensuring Courses Satisfy Major Prerequisites

  • Research transfer requirements for specific majors at UCs, CSUs, and other colleges and universities.

  • Use ASSIST.org and university articulation agreements to ensure courses count toward major requirements.

 

5. Maximizing Transfer Opportunities

  • Explain the TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee)

  • Guide students through Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADTs) for CSU-bound students.

  • Explore transfer agreements with private universities and out-of-state schools.​
