From Community College
To Your
Dream University
Community college is a smart choice.
I can help you create an affordable, rigorous and flexible path to a four-year college or university.
Why Community College?
Starting at a community college and transferring to a university is a smart, strategic choice for students and families looking to save money, get a quality education, and achieve their long-term academic and career goals. At Community College Consulting, we are here for you.
Save Thousands on Tuition
College costs are rising, but community colleges offer a significantly more affordable path. Completing your first two years at a community college can save you tens of thousands of dollars compared to starting at a four-year university. The California College Promise Grant pays all tuition at a community college if you qualify.

Transfer to Top Universities
Many people don't know that you can transfer to almost any university or college from a community college, including virtually Ivy League schools (Harvard, Brown, Princeton, etc.) as well as UC Berkeley, UCLA and Stanford, etc.

In California, all UC campuses are mandated to accept at least one transfer student for every two high school students. Most UC campuses have Transfer Admission Guaranteed (TAG) for transfer students who meet minimum qualifications.

Complete General Education Requirements
All universities require general education courses. Why pay more to take them at a four-year school when you can complete them affordably at a community college?

Flexible Scheduling for Your Lifestyle
With evening, weekend, and online classes available, as well as part time options community college makes it easier to balance school with work, family, and other commitments.
Independence
In my experience, community college students are often more motivated and independent—more mature, than university students in their first two years at college.

A Supportive Environment for Growth
Community colleges offer counseling, career services, and student organizations to help you succeed—no matter your background or experience level.

Smaller Class Sizes, More Support
Unlike large lecture halls at universities, community college classes are often smaller, allowing for more personalized attention from instructors. This can lead to a stronger foundation for future academic success.

A Fresh Start
If high school wasn’t your best experience, community college gives you a chance to rewrite your academic story.

Explore Your Interests & Find Your Path
Not sure what you want to major in? That’s okay! Community college gives you the flexibility to explore different subjects before committing to a major—without the high price tag of a university.

Let’s Make a Plan Together!
Whether you are a high achiever aiming for a top university, a student who wants a second chance after high school, looking for an affordable way to earn your degree, exploring different career paths before committing to a major, interested in skilled trades and professional programs, or anything else...
